This rug dates from the early 20th century, probably Canadian, hand loomed.  It pictures a maple sugaring scene, with horse-drawn sledge, men transporting buckets of maple sap, and a cauldron for cooking down the syrup.  Note the small cabin in mid-plane with smoke coming out of chimney and deciduous trees in background under light blue sky.  Overall:  28-1/2"h x 39"w.  Nine round brass rings for hanging, were applied at one time.
